Nursery group re-brands and doubles in size
Kindred Nurseries has doubled in size by buying six new settings, including the four Dizzy Ducks nurseries in Essex, taking its total number of settings to 12.
Kindred Nurseries bought the group's nurseries and its two
after-school-clubs in February, completed its rebrand in April, and is now firmly
on the expansion trail with the aim of owning 20 settings by the end of 2019.
Most recently, the group purchased Cator Park Montessori in Bromley in April
and Wanstead Nursery at the start of June.
Kindred Nurseries now offers a total of 900 places to children in the South
East.
Interim chief executive Ruth Pimentel said, ‘Buying Dizzy Ducks was a great
acquisition for us as the group really matched our ethos and where we are
heading. It was like two pieces of a jigsaw coming together.
‘Part of what Sian [Millar, the former owner] built was a real footprint in the
Billericay area of Essex, and we are very pleased to be able to take that over
and support local families with the four nurseries and two out-of-school
provisions as well.
‘Having bought Cator Park Montessori in Bromley and Wanstead Nursery since
then, we are really taking the nursery world by storm at the moment.’
POPPY AND JACK’S
Poppy and Jack's has also bought a new nursery, taking its total number of
settings to nine.
The group purchased the 80-place Happy Tots Nursery in Blackpool after vendors
Debbie Evans and Julie Bryan decided on a career change.
Owner Sarah Bellamy said, ‘Poppy and Jack’s are delighted with the new addition
to the family and look forward to working with Julie, Amy and her team.’
